Throughout my time studying Communication Studies and working in professional environments, I’ve learned how powerful strong communication can be in shaping people’s experiences. Whether it was interacting with customers, collaborating with coworkers, or learning through my internship at M&N Construction Supply, I saw firsthand how good communication can reduce confusion, solve problems, and help build trust. What stood out to me most is that every conversation—no matter how small—has the potential to make someone’s day easier and more positive.

I also realized that in fields like sales, insurance, and client-focused business roles, communication becomes more than just talking to people. It becomes a responsibility. You’re helping someone make decisions that impact their finances, their protection, or their long-term goals. When communication is clear, honest, and patient, you can turn what might feel overwhelming for someone into something they feel confident about. I’ve always valued being someone people can rely on, and this career path allows me to use that strength every day.

What I love most about the idea of working in sales or insurance is that every day brings a new opportunity to connect with people, understand their needs, and offer something that genuinely helps them. It’s rewarding to know that the way you communicate can make someone feel supported, informed, and taken care of. To me, that’s what good communication is all about—making a positive difference in the lives of others by showing respect, clarity, and professionalism in every interaction.
